Terms of Use
By downloading or using the Sini mobile application (the “Application”), you are deemed to have accepted these Terms of Use. These terms constitute a legal agreement between myself, Emre Özdemir (the “Developer”), and the Application user (the “User”).
1. Scope of Service and Advisory Nature
Sini is an information service offering restaurant discovery and recommendations for tourists visiting Istanbul. The Application does not act as an intermediary on behalf of restaurants; it does not engage in activities such as reservations, table sales, ticketing, or marketing of restaurant services. All restaurant information, scores, comments, and rankings contained within the Application are for advisory purposes only. The products and services offered at the restaurants are outside the Developer’s control and are the responsibility of the respective businesses.
2. Digital Work Status
The Application, with its design, software, and content architecture, is a digital work owned by the Developer within the scope of the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works No. 5846. The right provided to the User consists of a limited license granted for the personal use of this digital work.
3. Access Right and License Model
Sini does not sell auto-renewing subscriptions.
Users may purchase weekly, monthly, or lifetime access licenses.
These packages constitute non-renewing access rights according to the Apple definition.
Access terminates when the purchased period expires, and a new purchase must be made manually.
The lifetime access license is a one-time purchase.
Access management and payment records are conducted through application store systems and the RevenueCat infrastructure.
Payment and Refund Procedures: All financial transactions (including purchases, taxation, invoicing, and refunds) are processed exclusively through the Apple App Store infrastructure. The Developer does not have access to, nor does it store, the User’s credit card or payment information, and is not authorized to issue direct refunds. Any refund requests or payment issues must be addressed directly through App Store support channels, in accordance with Apple’s respective policies.
4. Third-Party Infrastructures
During the provision of the service, third-party services such as:
Firebase (Google),
Algolia,
FlutterFlow,
RevenueCat are used. These providers are subject to their own policies and security standards.
5. User-Generated Content
Users may add comments, scores, and visuals to restaurants.
The legality of such content is the responsibility of the User.
The User grants Sini a worldwide, royalty-free, and non-transferable license to use the shared content.
The User ID associated with comments is recorded for security and moderation purposes.
6. Prohibited Behaviors
Insults, hate speech, harassment
Fake reviews and manipulation
Bot usage
Reverse engineering
Queries that damage the system are strictly prohibited.
7. Moderation Authority
The Developer reserves the right to remove comments, suspend profiles, and block users. These authorities are exercised within the framework of community safety, legal compliance, and store agreements.
8. Location-Based Features
Device GPS and Algolia logs are used for distance ranking. Features may be restricted when permission is turned off.
9. Disclaimer
The Application is not a commercial marketplace.
The Developer cannot be held responsible for issues regarding food, pricing, reservations, payments, or service quality that may arise in restaurants.
Indirect damages arising from the Application content are excluded.
Access interruptions resulting from the failure to manually renew fixed-term access shall not be considered a defect.
